How it works
How book publishing works, from manuscript to shelf.
One team takes your book through five stages: the manuscript, the edit, the cover, the book and the shelf. Follow one book through the house below. One project manager stays with you the whole way, and the rights stay 100% yours.
Follow one book
Five stages. One book.
-
The manuscript
Start with a conversation
A free 15-minute call about your book, your reader and your goal. Then we write it with you, or start from the pages you already have. Ghostwritten books are built from recorded interviews, so the voice stays yours.
Ghostwriting: about 3–6 months
-
The edit
Edit until it reads clean
Developmental editing for structure, line and copy editing for the sentences, then a final proofread. Revisions are unlimited in every package.
Editing: about 2–4 weeks
-
The cover
Design the cover and the pages
A cover designed for your category, front, back and spine, plus interior formatting for print and ebook. Revisions until it's right.
Cover concepts: about 1–2 weeks
-
The book
Publish under your name
ISBN and barcode, then release to Amazon KDP, Barnes & Noble and more, up to 40+ platforms with Imperial. The rights stay 100% yours.
Manuscript to published: about 8–12 weeks
-
The shelf
Put it in front of readers
Amazon keywords and categories, early-reader outreach, an author website and a week-by-week launch plan, so the book doesn't launch to silence.
Launch campaign: about 4–8 weeks

Questions about the process.
Ask anything else on a free call, or ring us directly.
Do I keep the rights to my book?
Yes. Every package includes 100% ownership rights. Your book is published under your name, and the rights and royalties stay with you.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your manuscript and what it needs, so a publishing consultant prices your book after a free consultation. If you'd like a ballpark first, the free Publishing Cost Estimator asks four questions and gives you one.
How long does it take?
Most first-time authors go from finished manuscript to published in about 8–12 weeks. Editing usually takes 2–4 weeks, and a ghostwritten book about 3–6 months from first interview to finished manuscript. On the call we'll map the timeline for your book.
Can you write the book for me?
Yes. Ghostwriting starts with recorded interviews, so the book sounds like you. You get the full manuscript, developmental and line editing, and a clear path to publishing and launch. More about ghostwriting.
What if I don't like the cover or the edits?
Every package includes unlimited revisions. We keep going until it's right.
