How the score works

Plain arithmetic, shown openly.

Your score is simple arithmetic on your answers. Nothing is weighted in secret and nothing is rounded up.

  • Proof (20 points): Results, clients and years that make your ideas believable.
  • Audience (20 points): People who would hear about your book on the day it comes out.
  • Stage (20 points): Talks, guest spots and press that put you in front of new people.
  • Revenue plan (20 points): What the book is for, and what a reader does after the last page.
  • Material (20 points): Your method and the thinking you have already put into words.

Each answer is worth 0 to 3 points. Each area’s points are scaled to 20, and the five areas add up to your score out of 100.

75 and up: Ready now. 50 to 74: Ready with a plan. Under 50: Building the base.

Your archetype comes from your strongest area. Score 75 or more with no area under 10 and you are a Category Builder.

The three questions about revenue, timeline and budget don’t change your score. They help us prepare if we talk.

Questions

Should I write a book for my business?

If you have proof that your method works and a clear next step for readers, a book can bring you clients, talks and partners for years. If you don't have those yet, build them alongside the book. That is exactly what this score checks.

Is the score real?

Yes. It is plain arithmetic on your own answers, explained on this page. We don't compare you with other people, so there are no percentiles, and we never round a score up.

What happens after I enter my number?

Your result opens straight away and a copy goes to our team. We use your number only to talk about your book: a publisher may call to walk you through your result. No spam and no obligation.
